Description
Ignacio Ventura is a Mayan quiche craftsman, resident of Chichicastenango, home of Pop Wuj (sacred book of the Mayas). Luiz is a strong and determined character. He claims to have traveled to several countries of the world telling his story, which leads him to create some of the most famous and recognized masks in the western zone of Guatemala. His house, more than 300 years old, is also a museum, learning workshop, ceremonial center and entrance to the sacred hill Pascual Abaj, a spiritual and tourist landmark of Chichicastenango.
