Description
Merida is a painter and muralist originally from Guatemala who later moved to Mexico. He was born in Guatemala on December 2, 1891 and died in Mexico City on December 21, 1984. He began collaborating with Diego Rivera in 1922 and joined a group of Mexican muralists for a year. Together with Diego, Jose Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros, the group created a Union of Workers, Technicians, Painters and Sculptors.
