Description
Jose Cruz Sanchez, is a young artist from the Costa Chica of Oaxaca, who learned his art from his father and grandfather, but especially from his teacher Olegario Hernandez. Cruz has been featured internationally in various exhibitions in South Africa in the United States. He is considered an heir to Mixtec traditions and culture, in his case a carver from Jicaras.
